Circulation Policies All materials MUST be checked out of the media center.  This practice makes it easier to locate materials when they are needed by teachers and students. All materials may be searched using Destiny, Broward County’s online card catalog.  Grade 6:  Two books at a time
Grade 7:  Two books at a time
Grade 8:  Two books at a time   Check-out times: All day (9:30AM – 4:00PM) with a pass. Tuesday and Thursday mornings 8:30AM – 9:30AM.

Faculty:  Unlimited materials except for reserved materials. Faculty circulation period is for 30 days and may be renewed if materials are not reserved.
Staff:  Three books at a time.  Multiple audiovisual materials maybe checked out at any given time.  Staff circulation period is for 30 days and may be renewed if materials are not reserved.
Parent/Community:  Two books at a time.
Students:  Students may borrow all Fiction and Non-Fiction books except for Teacher Resources.  Student circulation period is two weeks with renewals possible, if materials are not reserved.  Reference collections are limited to in-school use only.
Reserving materials:  To reserve materials for student use, please contact your media specialist. The reserved materials will be placed on a reserve shelf for use.

Requesting materials:  For teachers who wish to request materials for their classroom, please contact your media specialist. The materials will be checked out to the teacher.

Online Resources In an effort to ensure quality resources for all Broward County Public School students, the Learning Resources Department has purchased annual subscriptions to a variety of online databases for the 2002-2003 school year.
