Redistricting is the process of redrawing the lines of districts from which public officials are elected to balance the populations of the districts and ensure residents have equal representation on the School Board.

By admin, on April 13th, 2012 The Florida Department of Education is continuing the transition from the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) to the FCAT 2.0 to align with new student academic content standards. The FCAT 2.0 measures student achievement of the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) in reading, mathematics, and science.
FCAT is approaching; there are 4 consecutive days of testing beginning on April 16, 17, 18, and 19. NEW in 2012 is the (CBT) Computer Based Testing, rolling out this year for 6th grade ONLY. All 6th graders will take an online FCAT 2.0 Reading (NGSSS) computer-based test. The 6th graders will be continuing FCAT 2.0 Reading (CBT) during the second week of testing April 23-27. Available online are some computer based practice tests called ePATs: www.FLAssessments.com/ePAT.
Please, DO NOT BE LATE TO SCHOOL on April 16, 17, 18, and 19. No early dismissals will be granted 1st & 2nd, as well as 5th & 6th periods. We cannot disturb the integrity of the FCAT 2.0 (NGSSS) Exam. Please adjust your doctor appointments, family trips, and all other appointments accordingly. Thank you in advanced for your cooperation.
