Basketball

The boys basketball team faced off with Tequesta Trace yesterday, and came away victorious, by the score of 44-17.  It was a tale of two halves.  The first half was a tight contest, with both team playing stingy defense.  The Falcons went into halftime with a slim 14-9 lead.  But in the second half, the boys turned it up a notch, and poured in 30 points to pull away for the win.  10 players in all reached the scoring column, in a solid team effort.  The win improves the boys record to 8 and 1.  The last game of the regular season is at home next Wednesday, versus Seminole Middle.

Basketball

The boys basketball team avenged it’s only loss of the season yesterday, defeating undefeated division leader Nova Middle, by the score of 40-31.  It was a tight game in the first half, and the boys fell behind early.  They managed to regain the lead by the end of the first quarter, and never trailed again.  It was 16-10 at halftime, and the lead was extended to 8 points after three quarters.  Nova was unable to mount a comeback, the Falcons were just too much.  The win puts the boys in a tie for first place with Nova and secures their spot in the playoffs, with two games remaining in the regular season.  Next up is at Tequesta Trace on Wednesday, before they come back home to face off with Seminole Middle.
