The Falcon Cove Book Club participated in Broward Countyís first annual Middle School Battle of the Books. The other schools in the competition were Millenium Middle and Deerfield Beach Middle. Students were quizzed on books that were read during the 2009-10 school year with Falcon Cove Middle receiving a trophy for the top scoring Book Club. The thirteen members who competed are Ian Aponte, Kristy Yeung, Dixon Yeung, Mira Merchant, Vanessa Berthold, Christal Hector, Angeles Gutierrez, Esther Song, Michael Robertson, Nicolas Tobon, Shiv Tailor, Sam Moon and Daniela Curiel.
